Summer
In the Summer, you will be able to go to the beaches of the Basque coast (60 km) or of the Landes coast (45 km) and try water sports such as surfing, sailing, diving, etc …
We also recommend easy or more advanced treks in the mountains meeting whistling shepherds, izards or on the bears’ tracks.
The mountain streams await your white water rafting, white water sledging or canyoning descents.
Winter
In the Winter, you will be able to go to the Béarn or La Soule ski resorts (Gourette, La Pierre Saint Martin, Iraty) located just over 1 hr away from the apartments.
You will be able to devote yourself to the joys of gliding (snowboarding, downhill skiing, cross country skiing).
You will also be able to snowshoe and discover magnificent summits.
Spring
In the Spring, come and discover trout and salmon fishing in the mountain streams.
Automn
In the Autumn, we invite you to share our love for this genuine country by riding on its small beautiful byroads.
Discover wood pigeon hunting too but above all come and pick tasty ceps very widespread in the woods.
ALL SEASONS
We recommend jaunts in the French or Spanish Basque Country, on the routes to Santiago de Compostela (Saint Jean Pied de Port, Ainhoa, Pampelona or San Sebastian).
Do not miss magnificent sites such as the Cirque of Gavarnie, the Forest of Iraty, the caves of Oxocelhaya, the gorge Kakouetta and of Holzarte, etc…
Visit the magnificent Pau castle where King Henry IV’s unusual cradle can still be seen.
The visit of the museum of the sea in Biarritz will teach you about the specificity of the sea beds of our region.
Do not leave with going to Lourdes to view the Grotto famous for its miracles.
Discover the different vineyards thanks to the wine trail.
Lastly, gastronomy is present everywhere: taste the wealth of the South West cooking with confits and foie gras but also with our young eels and our wood pigeons, washed down with local wines (indication of country of origin Béarn, Madiran, Jurançon, Iroulheguy).
